Over & Out

Assalam o Alikum Lovelies :')

Umm, I hope you're good, and life is treating you well.
Ever since my first blog, I have been thinking about the topics or events that I should write about or give my personal opinion or perspective on and that is the real struggle faced by us bloggers.
I finally came up with two events that needed my voice. :D
1. University 2. International Woman's Day.
Earlier this week, I had to cover a university event by representing the culture of my forefathers.
Being a Kashmiri, I dressed up in a traditional frock with Dupatta wrapped around my hair like the working women in Kashmir.
Day started normally; helping each other get ready, sharing things and most importantly, taking pictures.
And covered the event (it was a hot day though) :'D
Ummm, before sharing next point, I want to share a little background.

Badge Made By A Very Dear Friend 💜

Owning a DSLR gives you numerous perks.
From being the center of attention to being called by almost everyone for their photos, a DSLR owner has everything and it’s not that I don’t love taking pictures (Why else would I have a DSLR?)
but sometimes during all this commotion and running here and there I get tired (Don’t we all) and feel like running away, with my camera of course. (Not leaving that baby in someone else’s hands :D)

People on the other hand take all this for granted.
Its not that I demand being appreciated by everyone but when people criticize and describe you as selfish, full of attitude and proud, I get really hurt and upset.
But, Don't let the harshness of people change the good in you.
People ask me as to why I don't stop behaving this way and I reply that may be because it's in my nature.
No matter what, I can't change it and actually I don’t even want to but is it the right thing to do because at the end of it all, I am the only one who suffers.
People talk smack and they just walk away.
Mmmm,
In my opinion, if everyone stops being generous just because of the fact that people aren't good to them.
Then this world will become a man-made hell, something that it's not.
And ... Umm,
Balloons Make Me Happy🎈

What positivity do I get in return?…. the happiness I guess.
The smiles on their faces when they see their pictures, HAHA

Now jumping to the international women's day
World full of feminists and anti-feminists.
Moderation is need of time.
I am a rigid supporter of feminists and am not even amongst those who oppose it but as far as the rights of women are concerned, they need to be given, if not by will then surely by force.

I believe that the term has been taken wrongly or even improperly understood as I have heard people wearing inappropriate clothes, all in the name of feminism which is utterly lame.
And this lameness is actually affecting those women who are struggling to get their basic rights acknowledged
Women dressing up like they want is their business but stop relating this act to feminism.
Vulgarity is not feminism.
Plus, Feminism in the name of |khud khana pakao aur khao| is another lame point.
Yes, I agree that one should be independent; do their own work but what if that someone is your responsibility.
You ask your mother to give you food when you go home but when your husband asks you to give you a plate, your start fighting for it.
Is this feminism?
Stop justifying your "Aalsi-pan" girls.
Though I am aalsi too but I won't ever consider myself a feminist in this way.
Because I support man and women both when it comes to their rights.
The imbalance is only because of the fact that women fight only for themselves and ignore the rights of man and man does the same for themselves.
Both the genders forget the respect they need to present to the other sex and this, Ladies and Gentlemen has a devastating impact on our society

With love💓

Assalam o Alikum Everyone 😊 I hope you're good and life is treating you well. I am Sehrish, A girl from Kashmir who presently resides in Islamabad and that’s all you are ever going to know about me (haha) 😋 Like every other blogger out there, I need attention. Tons and tons of it and this’ll help me stay young till eternity. Just Kidding. The reason behind initiating this blog might sound mediocre to you but it fueled my desire to talk to others like or unlike me. Fairy Lights Are My Favorite 💛 A few months back, i was not so happy with my life and people around me. I was the person who used to complain rather than thank Allah for so so so many blessings. Then one day I decided to complain less and appreciate more and try to look at the brighter side of everything.  I believe no human is perfect, may be that is the reason we are humans, not angels. I accepted that I was being ungracious and ungrateful, making myself a totally different person from what ...

Pour Your Heart Out

Its been a very long time since I've written something that I am proud of or something that deeply bothers me about life and that is why we talk about something very close to me. Something that I I observed as a prey as well as a predator. I define life by the word 'hard', but people use the words 'unpredictable', 'challenging' and 'struggle' etc. I have come to understand that yes, life is a struggle  because it is supposed to be that way. What would be this life without struggle? No adventure, no thrill, no excitement, no mood swings, no reward, no punishment. THUS, no Life.  TODAY I'm sharing things that I've done and experienced for myself from both perspectives. I'm neither calling myself innocent nor am I declaring myself a culprit. I've always been an open person and whenever it came to people, especially strangers I found that people were comfortable sharing their problems and sorrows with me. However, With time I felt t...

Assalam o Alikum Lovelies 😇 I hope you’re good and life is treating you well. I’m sorry for being this late, I had my mids and then just like everyone, I procrastinated. Umm, it’s time to write and I want to share my views today. My parents, especially my father firmly believes in the saying “A friend in need is a friend indeed” and throughout my life this was one lesson he kept on revising and from the age of 13-19,   I never really understood it. I never even tried. And that is because I thought it had nothing to do with me because I have some really good friends around who will always stay by my side no matter what. But then with time I began to realize what he really meant. IT’S THE INFLUENCE OF PEOPLE AROUND US So buckle up. Being an extra-friendly person I multiple ‘friends’ till now. Someone’s family background, their marks, their living standards and their ‘INFLUENCE’ were never really the features I looked as I called them my bestie or my Gro...
